How much weight loss is realistic?
By following Ramon Siljade's 5 Day Fast program, you can lose between 3 and 7 kilos in one week. It is important to know that this is primarily fluid that comes from your muscles. Planning
Are there times when I shouldn't start 5 Day Fast?
Yes, don't start the 5 Day Fast:
- If you are pregnant'
- If you have a fever or feel sick (e.g. you stay home from work);
- If you, or your partner, are on days 1 - 10 of a new menstrual cycle, unless you are using hormonal contraception.

Why should I not start 5 Day Fast if I (or my partner) am on day 1-10 of a new hormonal cycle?
When you are on days 1-10 of a new hormonal cycle, your hormonal balance is different than normal, which makes the absolute effect of 5 Day Fast less.
And when you have a normal cycle and you sleep with the same partner in the same bed for at least 4 nights, your hormones 'synchronize'. It is therefore not advisable for your partner to start at that time.

Can I do 5 Day Fast while training extra hard for an event, such as a marathon, triathlon or Ironman?
You can continue with your normal workouts, but you should reduce the intensity of any workouts that are harder than 'easy pace'. And often it is also nice to reduce the duration of your workouts a bit.
In short: Do you train daily? Then plan your 5 Day Fast especially during a rest week. Then you can sync it easiest with your training schedule.
